Filtering your Product Catalog
Analyze, edit and manage your product catalog efficiently with product filtering that puts the power to dissect and optimize your merch at the power of your fingertips!
Step 1: Navigate to the “Product Management” section at the bottom of the Manage Products tab
Open your Google Chrome Browser (Get it here) & Navigate to the Merch Database extension in the upper right-hand corner of your Chrome Browser.
Once the Merch Database extension has loaded, simply navigate to the second selection in the application navigation titled “Manage Products”.
Once there, scroll down the page to find the product management sections that start with the selectable menus and database search functionality.
Step 2: Look for the three filtering dropdown selectors at the top right of the product management section of the Merch Database application
On the right-hand side of the product management section, locate the three selectable dropdown menus titled “Filter by Type”, “Filter by Marketplaces”, and “Filter by Status”.
Use any combination of these filterable selectors to further segment your product catalog.
Selecting the “Filter by Type” option allows users to sort listings by the following product types currently available to Merch users:
- Standard T-shirts
- Long Sleeve T-shirts
- Sweatshirt
- PopSockets
- Pullover Hoodie
- Premium T-shirt
- .com
- .uk
- .de
Lastly, selecting the “Filter by Status” option allows users to filter their entire merch catalog by the status of different listings within the merch catalog, including:
- Live – listings that are active on Merch
- Private link – listings that you have saved to only be shared via private link
- Removed – listings that have been removed from your account
- Under Review – listings that are still pending review in Merch’s system
- Rejected – listings that were rejected by Merch’s review process
- Processing – listings that are within the processing stage with Merch
This functionality assists with grouping and organizing your merch account, giving you the power to then selectively edit, view, or analyze different listings for deeper analytics.
Best of all, the filtering functionality allows users to mix and match components of their account to view and take action on listings in a very specified manner.
For example, you could choose to show all listings that are long sleeve shirts that are in the .com marketplace, but only those that have been removed.
Or, a user may choose to filter by all product types within the UK marketplace that are currently private link shirts only.
Filtering listings within the Merch Database tool gives you the power to look deeper and control listings on an individual basis.
Step 3: Scroll through your results and select all the listings that apply to your search.
Once you have used the filtering functions to narrow down the listings you would like to edit, view or analyze, simply scroll through the results that are populated in the product management section.
As you find the similar listings that you’re searching for, simply navigate your mouse to the left of the product management section and click the “checkbox” for each listing you would like to edit.
Leave each of the selected listing active by ensuring that a checkmark appears next to each listing that you want to edit.

Step 4: View or Manage your Products in New Chrome Tabs
With the listings you would like to edit selected as described above, navigate to the top of the manage products section of Merch Database and use the dropdown titled “Action on selected items” to select the “Manage Products in New Tabs” option.
Once you click that selection, the listings that you selected will all be opened in new tabs directly within the official Merch edit product page for each respective listing that you selected.

The process described above is extremely helpful for merch users who are looking for a solution for many common merch management issues, including:
- Searching the entirety of a listing for a particular keyword. Including searching the Brand, Title, Description, and Bullet Points of your unique product listings.
- Staying on top of trademarked phrases to easily edit listings containing specific keywords
- Edit multiple listings of a similar type, niche, brand, status, price, keyword and much more
Best of all, Merch Database does all this within Merch’s terms of service, without any bulk editing or automated uploads.
That’s it! You’re now ready to start analyzing your Merch account data and optimizing your account with our powerful analytics.
